LEGO EXPLORER

Ages 2 - 5

Rocket Science LEGO Explorer introduces exciting and interactive themed sessions that explore and investigate animals, their sounds, where they live, and what they eat. We learn about the vehicles and equipment it takes to take care of them. Using LEGO DUPLO some key learning values are sorting and categorizing. Look for these exciting themes at a location near you or contact us to bring the fun to your group at your location. This is a "Mommy & Me" course.

LEGO - STRUCTURES

Ages 4 - 7

Rocket Science LEGO Structures introduces exciting and innovative ways to explore and learn to "design structures" with a familiar toy - LEGO DUPLO. While building creatures, going fishing and other engaging activities children will be introduced to balance, weight, height and counterbalance. Students work in teams of two.

LEGO - SIMPLE MACHINES

Ages 4 - 7

Rocket Science LEGO Simple Machines is a fun and innovative way to explore and learn with a familiar toy - LEGO DUPLO. This class introduces levers, wheels, axles, gears and pulleys. Each student will explore and alter movement of everyday machines in a scale designed for their hands. Students work in teams of two.

LEGO - SIMPLE MECHANISMS

Ages 7 - 10

Rocket Science LEGO Simple Mechanisms provides each student the opportunity to explore and investigate simple mechanisms through focused and practical task. This class increases a child's awareness of science in everyday life by constructing LEGO models with pulleys, wheels, axles, levers and gears. Some models will also use battery operated motors to help expand how machines work. Students work in teams of two.

LEGO - SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

Ages 7 - 10

Rocket Science LEGO - Science & Technology utilizes gears, levers, pulleys, form, function and more as the students work in teams to create fun and exciting inventions. Students work in teams of two and each team will create working LEGO models while learning fundamental concepts in science and technology.

LEGO - WEDO ROBOTICS

Ages 7 -10

Rocket Science LEGO - WeDo Robotics is an easy to use set that introduces young students to robotics. They will build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors. Class assignments include dancing birds, smart spinners, hungry alligators, roaring lions and more. Each team of two will explore theme based activities while developing their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as language and literacy.

LEGO - ROBOTICS

Ages 10 & older

Rocket Science LEGO - Robotics uses the new LEGO Mindstorm NXT and introduces the beginning phases of LEGO Robotics and programming to young creators. This class provides an outlet for the creative side in your student. Future engineers learn to create a robot that follows commands using varying sensors.

LEGO - ROBOTICS TEEN CHALLENGE

Ages 14 & older

Rocket Science LEGO - Robotics uses the new LEGO Mindstorm NXT each student will cover the levels of LEGO Robotics and programming that will prepare their robot to take multiple challenges using sound, touch, ultra-sonic, and light sensors. Advanced challenges will include programming Bluetooth to help cover test pads. The course is designed to work in teams to create a robot that follows commands using varying sensors.
