ROCKET SCIENCE was formed to inspire the creativity inside of each child we are given the opportunity to introduce our curriculum and activities to. Rocket Science builds relationships through structured education and hands on instructor interaction. The atmosphere generated by the instructor and presence of LEGO is inspiring. We enjoy spending our time with kids of all ages, especially those who enjoy LEGO.
Rocket Science takes playtime and enhances it with the introduction of simple engineering techniques and principles into a child's world at a level understood by children and adults alike.
We began providing birthday parties on 2002 and incorporated camps and classes in 2006 and corporate events in 2008. Stay tuned and watch us grow. The art of combining the fun of LEGO with education intrigues our team and keeps them motivated to create and inspire new curriculums.
Each team member is selected for their child-like enthusiasm and passion to see each child reach their personal best. ROCKET SCIENCE has a company philosophy to enjoy each child for their unique and one-of-a-kind personalities, to never compare the students, and provide each parent with an elevated thought process of how their child enjoys learning. We teach using teamwork, develop respect for your peers, and provide an awesome introduction to the world of science and technology. Every child needs a creative outlet for expression and we believe LEGO is the perfect vehicle for this expression.
ROCKET SCIENCE helps its students to discover their level of greatness and inspire the engineers and inventors living inside of them. LEGO is serious play. Whether your students desire to become an engineer or if they just enjoy connecting the bricks; we enjoy them and each opportunity we are honored to have with your family.

Rocket Science is the brain child of Michael Calahan. He began his journey with LEGO as a small child peering through the screen door waiting for his C.O.D (cash on delivery) package from the mail carrier. The mail carrier walked away with a hand full of small bills and loose coins but left a package of intrigue that would keep Michael entertained until he could save enough money to order again. LEGO mesmerized him at an early age and he has always kept that childhood joy near to his heart (he still has all of his original childhood purchases. Making the transition from childhood to present day happened when he connected his passion for LEGO with his desire to educate children through interactive play. Michael has over 10 years of retail experience in the toy industry. Working for specialty toy stores like F.A.O Schwarz and Zany Brainy helped Michael nurture his love for using toys to engage children to learn. Michael has seen children with social and emotional challenges engage and interact while exploring LEGO under his direction.
Michael has instructed LEGO Camps for the Dallas and Ft Worth area since 2006 and birthday parties since 2002.

LaShaunda and Michael have been married since 1995 and have developed ROCKET SCIENCE together. Her role as business manager is all encompassing. She enjoys developing the business alongside her husband and two children (Michaela and Addison). When two or more agree to move in the same direction wonderful things happen. She has a bachelors of Interior Design and provides services as a corporate designer, when not playing with LEGO. Seeing passion meet desire propels her to continue building relationships with the ROCKET SCIENCE team members, parents, and children.
